We know how important hearing is to your life, your loved ones, your work success, your safety, and your ability to fully enjoy a quality life. Many people do not think they have communication difficulties particularly in the early stages of hearing loss.
In addition, people may resist admitting to themselves or others that they indeed have hearing loss.

Take a few moments and consider a few simple questions:

Do you sometimes "hear" but not "understand" what others say?
Do you hear people "mumble" or not speak "clearly"?
Do you frequently ask people to repeat themselves?
Do you often turn an ear toward a sound to hear it better?
Do you understand conversations better when looking directly at faces?
Do you lose the conversation in groups?
Do you have trouble hearing over the telephone?
Do you keep the volume of radio or TV at a level others say is too loud?
Do you have difficulty understanding speech in noisy situations?
Have friends, family, co-workers or neighbors told you that you are not hearing well?
Are "life sounds" as rich and full as they once were?
Can you hear the birds twittering?
Do you have difficulty understanding the message of a child's whisper?
Do you enjoy your favorite music?

Hearing loss is common among all age groups – young, seniors and in-between. However, hearing loss need not limit your quality of life. Hearing loss does not have to limit your job or professional performance.

Essentially, experiencing hearing loss does not have to diminish your involvement in social activities. There are solutions!
